With Fresher’s Week over for another year, the UK’s newest Uni recruits have managed to chomp their way through a whopping 5 million slices of pizza, 840,000 kebabs and leaving more than 1 million empty pint glasses in their wake.
Fresher’s Week, the first week of the academic year at Universities across the UK is renowned for being a week of students letting their hair down without their parents around. When the nights get darker after the clocks have gone back, we leaving in the morning to go to work and return in darkness. The weather is horrible, the sofa and television is beckoning, the kitchen or going out to a food store is not an attractive concept.
